ANDREA TSANG and MATERIAL LIGHTS unveil their collaborative series transforming ostrich eggs and ceramic into luminous art. Beginning with materials from the earth, they craft fixtures that blur boundaries between nature and design. Warm light filtering through translucent eggshell—like a rising moon—dances across ceramic forms, shifting tones and bringing each piece to life. The series features EGG wall lamps in various matte glazes reminiscent of natural eggshells, alongside three sculptural table lamps in an installation ‘Born/Reborn’ showing at Stockholm Creative Edition.
“Our collaboration began with a shared reverence for raw, natural materials and their quiet beauty. Together, we explored how light transforms when meeting these elements—how an eggshell’s translucence or a ceramic surface can glow, shift, and breathe. The result is our EGG Collection: wall and table lamps where warm light filters through carefully crafted forms, their matte textures evoking the gentle, diffused glow of moonrise on the horizon.”
