WHAT I WATER, GROWS.

The project features twelve glass goblets, each one represents a specific feeling during the creative process. By creating the objects with this in mind, the project explores how meaning, memory and affect can be embedded into physical form. The material’s properties play an important role in the final result and this was essential. Also, the goblet as an object carries a range of associations for many. It can represent great achievement and finishing first, but also loss, failure and feeling empty after the completion of a race. During Stockholm Creative Edition, “Det växer där jag vattnar” will be on display in a completely new installation for this design week.

Siri Gerda Lövén is a product designer working primarily with glass. She holds a Bachelors degree from Beckmans College of Design and is drawn to working in the space between art and design, both function and expression. Her practice is characterized by a strong interest in graphic motifs combined with three dimensional form and storytelling. Through material, pattern and proportion, her work explores how objects can both inhabit and influence a space.
