At SCE 2026, Odd Åsberg presents works that reflect two different aspects of his design practice.

Henning is a shelving system centered on functionality and adaptability. With stepless adjustability of each plane and a height that can exceed three meters, the system is intended for both commercial and domestic contexts.

The Ink series is grounded in a more artistic approach, where materials and surface treatments are investigated, and form plays a leading role in the design process. Ink – Lounge Chair draws inspiration from classic beach chairs, reinterpreted through abstracted proportions to allow for a distinct expression. Ink – Union Coffee Table examines a material dialogue between wood and decorative lime plaster. Both objects are hand made through a sculptural and exploratory process. Ascending stairs, a small wall-hung shelf, sits between these two practices, functioning as both a utilitarian and decorative object.

Odd Åsberg has a background in visual art. The silhouettes that have been the inspiration to many of the works originate from a world of hand drawn shapes within his artistic practice. He was educated at Carl Malmsten School of Furniture Studies and graduated from the Furniture Design Programme in 2025.
