Stockholm Modern is a contemporary gallery focused on Nordic design and craft. Here, form, material quality, and timeless aesthetics come together in carefully curated exhibitions and collaborations.
During SCE, the gallery presents works by Anna Nordström. Anna works at the intersection of art, craft, and design, where textiles become both carriers of narrative and tactile expression. Her practice is defined by a sensitive approach to material, structure, and color, blending traditional techniques with a contemporary visual language. In this exhibition, she also incorporates ancient symbolism, adding a timeless and mythic dimension to her work. With great precision and sensibility, she creates textile pieces that spark curiosity and enhance the spatial experience.
Anna Nordström, born in 1984 in Gävle, Sweden, is a Stockholm-based textile artist. She works with a wide range of techniques, focusing on patchwork, quilting, and embroidery. She holds an MFA and a BA in Textile from Konstfack, Stockholm, and has studied at MICA, Baltimore.
