Shimber is a Helsinki-based design company exploring a new material direction for luxury design, architecture, and fashion. Their wood-based, pigment-free structural color creates hues not through dyes, but via microscopic structures that manipulate light — a naturally luminous effect reminiscent of butterfly wings. Designed for premium interiors, collectible objects, and couture, the color is built into the material, offering depth and subtle shifts with movement and light.

At Stockholm Creative Edition 2026, Shimber presents Shimber Sphere, a 90 cm wooden sculpture with tonal variations revealed as its two halves glide open, and Mosaic Layering, an intarsia-inspired floral technique translating Nordic woodcraft into refined, bio-based surfaces.
