EKESKOG
Ekeskog is a cabinet made from reclaimed pine salvaged from the nearly 800-year-old church bell tower in Ekeskog, Västergötland. Constructed entirely without glue, the piece relies on dovetail joints, locking tenons, and traditional spruce-root stitching. The roots are foraged by hand and used fresh, allowing them to be sewn through the wood before stiffening as they dry — a process that binds material, time, and technique.
Ragnar Peterson Bredow is a furniture designer and maker based in Forsvik, educated at Carl Malmsten School of Furniture Studies (2023). His practice centres on tactile processes, material honesty, and the continuation of craft traditions in a contemporary context.
