DÄR MINNET BRUSAR (Where the Memory Roars) is a sculptural textile piece inviting the viewer to move freely around the work and engage with the material through light, texture, and space. Hand-dyed wool, crafted using traditional rya technique, forms soft colour gradients and layered volume, blurring the distinction between front and back. Designed to hang freely, the piece shifts with perspective and movement, offering a calm, sensory experience where textile, colour, and memory unfold in a continuous flow.

Pernille is a textile artist working with material-driven processes where traditional techniques meet contemporary expression. Her practice centres on tactility, colour, and spatial presence, often exploring how textiles can carry memory and emotion through surface, structure, and movement.

She has studied textile design and craft at Konstfack – University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, following a foundation year in textile craft at Handarbetets Vänner. Her education also includes studies at the Copenhagen Academy of Fashion Design, contributing to a practice grounded in both Nordic textile heritage and experimental making.
