GREEN EDGE
A study exploring biobased materials, furniture design and biodiversity
Anne Ländle presents Green Edge, a new furniture material developed from roadside grass, wildflowers and wood waste. The project explores how overlooked biological resources canbe transformed into durable, expressive and scalable materials for contemporary furniture.
Through a cabinet inspired by historical herbarium furniture, the material’s botanical origins are revealed, embedding flowers from Stockholm’s roadside landscapes directly into its surface. Light, touch and everyday use activate the material, allowing its texture, colour and structure to emerge.
Green Edge connects material innovation with local ecosystems, proposing a future wherefurniture is not only crafted, but cultivated.
