FROM MILAN TO STOCKHOLM. WELCOME TO A CITY THAT FEELS LIKE HOME.

After an incredible showing at Isola during this year’s Milan Design Week, Interesting Times Gang now turns their sights to Stockholm Creative Edition, with an intimate and even more ambitious exhibition, this time in the Swedish design collective’s hometown.Throughout SCE24, there will be an open studio for visitors to experience a selection of revolutionary ocean biomass furniture, including the Infauna lamp and the Gigas table made from oyster shells and the Kelp chair made from Nordic sugar kelp, that were recently launched in Milan.

On Thursday the 23rd of May, the studio will hold a launch event to premiere a never-before-seen collection, in a new design collaboration with international mobility company Bolt.Together, the two companies have used circular design as a vehicle, in order to reimagine how cities and urban spaces might look, if they were designed to be homes for people, instead of cars. What if we converted something that takes up space, into something that gives it back? Together, we have managed to reincarnate car waste, such as detonated airbags, into a beautiful collection of street furniture and outdoor lighting, made from these recycled automotive materials. Research shows that shared mobility can help reduce car usage by 19% (Shared Mobility’s Global Impact study by Oliver Wyman, 2023).We are excited to show 6 new unique pieces with the world, and look forward to sharing the entire collection with the public, design press and our friends.Welcome to Stockholm Creative Edition. A city that feels like home.
