Behind GNILMYD KCAB are Ann-Sofie Back and Mattias Dymling, who met in 2019 while working at Teenage Engineering. The studio launched its first collection in spring 2022, winning ELLE Deco’s “Accessory of the Year” for the Scalp lampshade.
The brand’s work spans furniture, lighting, textiles, mirrors, and glassware, including iconic pieces such as the Trophy sofa, Scalp XL lampshade, Darling XL mirror, Darling wineglasses, and Cheers tableware. Most products are made in Sweden, while select materials are sourced from Italy and China.

GNILMYD KCAB has exhibited at venues including Cream at NK, Bonniers Konsthall, Soho House, Collection Apart, Älvsjö Gård, Collectible Fair Brussels, and Stockholm Design Week. Their work has been featured in Vogue Scandinavia, ELLE Deco, Residence, The Forumist, Bon, Pin-Up, Carcy, and Vogue.com, and is sold at Artilleriet, Sven-Harrys, The Forumist, and via their own channels.
