Expanding from its annual week-long format, Testing Grounds 2026 takes the form of a temporary showroom and living space where design is experienced in use, over time.

Testing Grounds invites you to the first in a series of talks exploring the question: “Showroom?” Moderated by Auste Skrupskyte Cullbrand, Playground.
In this session, we examine how countries, cities, and larger platforms approach the role of the showroom in connecting design, industry, and audiences. Be part of the conversation and explore how the concept of the showroom can evolve in a changing design landscape.
