TILE TOPOGRAPHIES
Tile Topographies is a spatial installation composed of tile-built sculptural objects and a central wall piece. Together, they form an intimate terrain of geometric bodies where architecture, furniture, and sculpture blur into one another. Hand-painted tiles shape both freestanding forms and a flat wall work that is perceived as three-dimensional, inviting close, tactile engagement and movement around the installation.

Born in Greece and based in Stockholm, Myrsini Alexandridi works at the intersection of architecture, painting, and ceramics. With an architectural background, she approaches the ceramic tile as both material and concept—a modular unit that carries its own presence while forming larger structures through repetition and composition. Her practice spans sculptural objects, art furniture, and site-specific works, rooted in handcraft and a strong sense of colour and geometry. Mediterranean references meet Nordic restraint, creating a refined dialogue between vibrancy and clarity.

All tiles are individually hand-painted; no motif is repeated mechanically. Wooden bases are constructed in walnut or MDF and engineered for balance and stability, with joints remaining visible as part of the work’s rhythm.
