A CASE STUDY – EXPLORING CRAFTS, TEXTURES AND FORM
Sara Ullvetter Design and Knut Carpets present a joint exhibition that illustrates the process behind their products with a focus on craftsmanship, textures and form. A curiosity to explore the tactile process and the ancient crafts that are introduced in new contexts in carpets, wooden furniture and objects in glass.
Sara Ullvetter Design is a design studio and furniture producer based in Stockholm, whose design process is about scaling back and finding the balance between simplicity and meaningful form. Ullvetter’s collection is a combination of old and new, light and dark, design and art. A tribute to Scandinavian craft history, while at the same time challenging today’s contemporary forms. A sense of timelessness and ability to easily assimilate with other styles and eras while retaining its distinct purity and aura of calm security. The objects are handmade in Sweden and can be appreciated over time and passed on for generations.
