Bark Pouf — where leather follows form. Designed by Louise Hederström and upholstered in leather, this sculptural pouf explores pattern, precision, and craftsmanship. Created in collaboration with Vilax.

When Vilax revealed their production capabilities, Louise was immediately intrigued by the level of precision they offered. It opened up the possibility of exploring something she had never tried before: could a sculptural pattern become a piece of seating furniture? Inspired by the formations found in different types of tree bark, the design evolved around how individual parts can come together to form a cohesive whole. Moving between digital design and realisation through craftsmanship has been a central source of inspiration in her work.

Louise Hederström is a Malmö-based furniture designer and artist. Since graduating from Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm, she has built a prolific practice as both designer and artist, collaborating with renowned Swedish companies including Swedese, Skandiform, and Maze Interior. Over the past decade, her work has focused on exploring sustainable production and form. She regularly participates in exhibitions in Sweden and internationally, and collaborates with Hostler Burrows gallery in New York and Los Angeles.
