For Stockholm Creative Edition 2023 LI-AN-LO Studio has joined forces with designer Anna Harström, Emma Hjortenklev Wassberg and Lisa Lindh. Together they will explore the In Between- in between art and design, and what happens between objects in a room. By combining their materials and practices Lina and Anna have developed a series of coffee tables that will be a part of the groups exhibition. INBETWEEN will combine future design with spatial installation and organized talks in the exhibition space.

LI-AN-LO Studio is based in Bodafors, Småland, and is run by designer Lina Rex. Her furniture is inspired by a force we don’t see but which is always present, a force stronger than anything else: nature. Recurring are tables with a monolithic base that is allowed to grow through a perforated glass top, an aesthetic detail but also a stable lock between base and tabletop. Manufacturing is done by hand in Bodafors using solid wood from local overgrown spruce, wood that is not normally used for furniture production but is usually chipped and burned in thermal power plants. By instead recuperating these trees and utilizing their size to turn the base in one single solid piece, the driving force is to contribute to a more sustainable future in Swedish design where circularity is allowed to take centre stage.
